How To Safe Your Facebook Account From Hackers

There are many ways through which hackers can access your Facebook account and you will lose control over your account. Your account can’t be hacked until you give access to hackers to enter your account. Here I will share some handy tips to keep your account safe and secure

Strengthen your password.

The first step towards making your account secure is to strengthen your password. Don’t use simple words for your password. Some people use the same name as they use for their username which is totally bad practice. User capital letters + small letters + symbols + digits for a secure password. If your password is a combination of these then it will be very difficult for hackers to access your account.

Application permission.

While answering some quiz on Facebook or playing a game like How will you look in future, you need to install some application. Those application as for permissions which you need to grant otherwise you can’t play. Those permission may include everything and you can lose control over your account. In order to install such apps first read what permission they need.

Spammy links.

Now hackers try to attack Facebook account by posting some spam link which is not really a video but just a spam. When you click on the link you will redirected somewhere else and you can lose your control over your Facebook account. Then hacker use your account, send those spam links to your friends without your knowledge. To make your account secure never click such video links.

Enable login notifications.

This is best way to make secure Facebook account. You can enable login notification so that some someone (Hacker) tries to login your Facebook account using your ID and password, you will receive a notification on your cell phone that someone is trying to login to your account. So you will come to know that it’s time to change your password because the hackers has got your password.

To enable login notification.

Go to Account setting -> Security -> Login Approval and set your desired security layer.

Always check your current session.

Always check you current active sessions. Here you can see the location and operating system. If you notice any unfamiliar activity then you can End all activity. This means that some body is using your account and don’t forget to change your password.

Add trusted contacts.

If due to some reason you lost control over Facebook account, you can recover it through some trusted contacts. You can add maximum of three trusted contacts. Later on you can recover your account using these three trusted contacts.
